Seattle Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is offering a four-day camp for 11-15 year-olds in Seattle.

Incoming 6th graders and junior youth new to the program will study Breezes of Confirmation - which tells the story of Musonda, a young girl who has just turned thirteen, and her older cousin Rose, who has come to visit for the school holidays. Together with Musonda's brother Godwin and his friend Chishimba, these young people are thinking about their future and seeking confirmation as they strive to identify their talents and apply them toward the benefit of others. In this world, many of the messages young people receive encourage them to follow quick and easy routes in search of satisfaction. The junior youth materials try to help them realize that one must continue to make an effort despite the difficult struggles life is sure to present. Each of the fourteen lessons in the book includes a short reading followed by a series of exercises designed to increase comprehension and to sharpen language skills. These are interspersed with quotations for memorization, songs, and discussion questions.

Camp participants in their second and third year of the junior youth program will study Spirit of Faith - exploring the purpose of human existence as spiritual beings, in conjunction with the natural world. The text follows the conversation of a youth group in another part of the world as they explore these themes, encouraging spiritual and scientific thought about the purpose of physical reality.
